Could scented nose plugs be the key to restoring lost smell?
NCT ID NCT06142565
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether scented nose plugs could make smell training more effective for people who lost their sense of smell after a virus like COVID-19. 120 adults with reduced smell were split into two groups: one did regular smell training at home, and the other used scented nose plugs. The goal was to see if the nose plugs improved smell function, symptoms, and quality of life.
