First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether gently removing the top layer of skin (dermabrasion) during Mohs surgery can make scars look better. About 50 adults with face or neck wounds will have half the scar treated with dermabrasion and the other half left alone. Researchers will compare scar appearance after 3 months using both doctor and patient ratings.
