Violinists' neck pain linked to shoulder blade mechanics – new study
NCT ID NCT07448857
First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at how the shoulder blade moves and which muscles are active in upper string players (like violinists and violists) who have neck pain. Researchers will compare 60 musicians with and without neck pain while they play and lift their arms. The goal is to find patterns that can help design better training and rehab programs to prevent playing-related injuries.
