First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at whether routine screening for heart disease is a good use of resources for people with type 2 diabetes who are at very high risk but have no known heart problems. Researchers will analyze data from 90,000 patients in French health databases to compare costs and health outcomes over 4 years. The goal is to help decide if widespread screening should be recommended.
