First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This pilot study looks at whether it is safe and feasible to skip surgery in patients with stage II-III non-small cell lung cancer whose tumors completely disappear after chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Fourteen participants will be randomly assigned to either standard surgery or close monitoring. The goal is to see if careful observation can be an option for some patients, reducing the need for invasive procedures.
