Sarcoma surgery breakthrough: could skipping biopsy tract removal be safer?

Summary
This study tests whether leaving the needle biopsy tract in place during sarcoma surgery is as safe as removing it. About 3,300 people with extremity sarcoma will be randomly assigned to have the tract removed or not. The goal is to see if skipping removal lowers the chance of cancer coming back, while also reducing side effects and preserving healthy tissue.
