Could a special salt help dialysis patients?

NCT ID NCT05558267

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a salt substitute containing potassium is safe for people with end-stage kidney disease who are on dialysis. Twenty participants will try both the special salt and regular table salt for 16 days each, with a break in between. Researchers will closely monitor their blood potassium levels and blood pressure to see if the substitute causes any dangerous spikes.
