First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether doing lung rehab exercises in underground salt chambers can improve breathing and quality of life for people with COPD. 80 adults with stable COPD will be split into four groups: rehab in a salt mine, rehab in a regular gym, just sitting in the salt mine, or health education only. Researchers will measure exercise ability, symptoms, and muscle strength before, right after, and three months after the program.
