Egg yolk powder takes on brain tumors: new trial tests pressure relief

NCT ID NCT07364786

First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This early-phase trial is testing whether a special egg yolk powder called Salovum® can reduce pressure inside glioblastoma brain tumors. Ten adults with suspected glioblastoma will have pressure and oxygen probes placed during a biopsy, then take Salovum® for a few days. The goal is to see if the powder changes tumor pressure and inflammation, not to cure the disease.
