Spit test could spot gum trouble years early

Summary

This study follows 100 adults with healthy gums or various stages of gum disease for two years. Researchers will collect saliva and plaque samples to see if certain markers can predict who will get worse. No treatment is given—the goal is simply to learn which biomarkers signal future gum problems.
