New drug tested to boost brain speed in early Alzheimer's
NCT ID NCT05619692
Summary
This study tested whether an investigational drug called SAGE-718 could improve cognitive performance, specifically processing speed, in people with early-stage Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment. 174 participants were randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo to see if it helped them perform certain mental tasks faster and better. The main goal was to see if the drug could ease this specific symptom of the disease.
