Can a saffron tea help tame your blood sugar spikes?
NCT ID NCT07261475
Summary
This early study is testing whether a water extract made from saffron flower petals can help improve blood sugar and metabolism right after a meal. Twenty adults with obesity or prediabetes will drink either the saffron extract or plain water before eating bread, and researchers will measure their blood sugar, insulin, and metabolism. The goal is to gather initial data on whether this natural extract has any immediate effects on metabolic health.
