First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether a new formulation of the antibiotic polymyxin B (VRP-034) causes less kidney injury than the current version. About 48 healthy adult men will receive single or multiple doses of either the new or standard drug. Researchers will measure kidney damage using special urine tests to see if the new formula is safer.
