Summary
This study looks at whether empagliflozin, a drug used for diabetes and chronic kidney disease, is safe for people who have received a kidney transplant. The goal is to see if it can help protect the transplanted kidney and the heart from future problems. About 264 veterans who had a kidney transplant at least 3 months ago will take the drug and be monitored for side effects like infections or low blood sugar.
