New oxygen system tested to make cancer scans safer

NCT ID NCT05696288

Summary

This study compared two ways of giving oxygen to patients under anesthesia for a common diagnostic procedure for head and neck cancer. Researchers tested a newer, high-flow oxygen system against the standard method to see which one better maintains safe oxygen levels and reduces complications. The goal was to improve patient safety during these important diagnostic exams.
