First seen Nov 16, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study helps older adults with type 2 diabetes move away from sulfonylureas—older pills that can cause dangerous low blood sugar, falls, and heart problems—and switch to newer, safer medications. About 220 participants will be given simple questions to ask their doctor, while doctors receive extra training. The goal is to start more conversations and get patients onto better treatments.
