Scientists test weekly pill to slow down aging in healthy seniors
NCT ID NCT05949658
Summary
This early-stage study aims to find safe weekly doses of two existing drugs, sirolimus and everolimus, that might slow down the fundamental biology of aging. It will enroll 72 healthy adults aged 55-89 who will take one of the drugs once a week for 6 weeks. The main goal is to identify doses that are well-tolerated and show signs of affecting aging pathways, which could inform future larger studies.
