NCT ID NCT03610256
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study compares two types of weight-loss surgery for people with severe obesity: a newer procedure called SADI-S and the standard RYGB. About 382 adults will be randomly assigned to one surgery and followed for 2 years to see which leads to greater weight loss and fewer complications. The goal is to find out if SADI-S is a better option for long-term weight control.
