New drug cocktail shows promise for tough cervical cancer
NCT ID NCT07256236
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This phase 2 trial is testing a combination of two drugs, Sacituzumab tirumotecan and QL1706, in 89 women with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer that cannot be treated with surgery or radiation. The goal is to see if the combo can shrink tumors and improve survival. Participants will receive infusions every two weeks until the cancer progresses or side effects become too severe.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Sacituzumab tirumotecan (SKB264) and QL1706
What this could lead to
If successful, this combination could offer a new treatment option for women with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer, potentially shrinking tumors or slowing disease progression.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase, single-arm trial with no placebo group, so results are preliminary. Side effects from the drugs may be significant, and the treatment may not work for all patients.
