First-Ever trial zaps dozens of tumors at once

NCT ID NCT04530513

Summary

This study tested whether a precise, high-dose radiation technique called SABR is safe for people whose cancer has spread to more than 10 places in the body. It involved 13 patients with advanced metastatic cancer who had run out of standard treatment options. The main goal was to find the highest safe dose of radiation that could be delivered to all the cancer sites at once.
