Summary
This study tested whether giving a small amount of s-ketamine during chest surgery could prevent postoperative delirium (sudden confusion) in patients aged 60 and older. The trial involved 520 people having non-cardiac chest surgery. The goal was to see if s-ketamine works as well as another drug, dexmedetomidine, in reducing delirium risk.
