First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested whether giving a single dose of S-ketamine during surgery could lower the amount of morphine patients need for pain in the first 24 hours after laparoscopic gynecologic surgery. Fifty-three relatively healthy adults took part. The goal was to see if S-ketamine can help manage pain while reducing reliance on opioids.
