Pill-Sized test could bring cancer screening to rural doorsteps

NCT ID NCT06335966

Summary

This study is testing a new, swallowable capsule that collects cells from the esophagus to screen for cancer and pre-cancerous conditions. It aims to see if this simple, non-invasive tool is practical and acceptable for use in rural primary care clinics, where access to traditional endoscopy screening is limited. The goal is to improve early detection of esophageal cancer for high-risk patients in remote areas.
