First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at how running indoors on a treadmill, on an outdoor road, or on grass changes your body's stress response, mood, and ability to focus. Thirty healthy college students will run for 30 minutes in each setting. Researchers will measure things like heart rate, stress hormones, and attention before and after running to see which environment is best for recovery and mental performance.
