Summary

This study tests an experimental drug called resiniferatoxin (RTX), made from a cactus-like plant, to treat severe pain in people with advanced cancer. RTX works by destroying pain-signaling nerves. The trial involves 45 adults whose pain is not controlled by standard treatments. Participants receive a single injection of RTX into the spine and are monitored for safety and pain relief.
