First seen Jan 15, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether a newer deep brain stimulation method (using a helmet-like coil) works better than the standard coil for people with depression that hasn't improved with medication. About 152 adults will receive 20 sessions over 4 weeks, plus follow-ups for 3 months. The goal is to see which method reduces depressive symptoms more effectively.
