Magnetic pulses aim to ease Parkinson's symptoms in new pilot study

Summary

This study tests whether an accelerated course of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) can improve both movement and thinking problems in people with mild to moderate Parkinson's disease. Forty participants aged 50 to 90 will receive six sessions of magnetic pulses to the motor cortex over three weeks. Researchers will measure changes in motor symptoms, memory, attention, and quality of life up to three months after treatment.
