Summary

This trial tests whether a daily supplement called RSB11-HI, a heat-inactivated postbiotic, can support weight management and metabolic wellness in healthy adults. Over 8 weeks, 120 participants will take either the supplement or a placebo, with researchers tracking changes in body weight, BMI, waist circumference, and appetite. The study also looks at whether effects differ among general healthy, perimenopausal, and mild inflammation groups.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
RSB11-HI, a heat-inactivated postbiotic derived from Lactiplantibacillus plantarum RSB11, taken orally once daily for 8 weeks
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple daily supplement that helps healthy adults manage weight and support metabolic wellness without changing their diet or exercise habits.
What could go wrong
This is an early, small trial with 120 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The supplement may have no effect on weight or metabolism, and any benefits could be modest.
