Scientists probe Rowers' blood for secrets of extreme endurance

NCT ID NCT06891820

Summary

This study aimed to understand how the bodies of elite athletes adapt to intense physical training. Researchers measured a wide range of hormones, markers of fatigue, metabolism, and inflammation in 30 professional rowers before and after exhaustive exercise tests. The goal was to gather detailed knowledge about the body's response to extreme strain, not to test a new treatment.
