First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests the safety of a skin patch called rotigotine (a dopamine agonist) in 120 adults aged 18-60 with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), a common inherited condition that causes kidney cysts and can lead to kidney failure. Participants will wear the patch daily for 24 months. The goal is to see if the drug is well-tolerated and to gather early data on whether it might help slow kidney damage.
