Crown timing could make or break root canal success

NCT ID NCT06441058

First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at 541 patients who had root canal treatment between 1998 and 1999 to see if the timing and type of crown or filling placed afterward affected how long the tooth survived. Researchers checked dental records to find out which teeth needed more treatment or were eventually pulled. The goal is to help dentists choose the best restoration timing to keep teeth healthy longer.
