New dental sealer put to the test in root canal study

NCT ID NCT07642284

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares a new version of a root canal sealing material (AH Plus Jet®) to the current version in people needing a root canal. About 130 adults will receive treatment on one or two teeth and be followed for two years to see if the tooth heals properly. The goal is to check if the new sealer works as well and is as safe as the existing one.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

AH Plus Jet® Endodontic Sealer (a dental sealing material used during root canal treatment)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could show that the new formula is as safe and effective as the current sealer, giving dentists another option for root canal procedures.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study (130 participants) comparing two similar devices, so any differences may be minor. The results may not apply to all tooth types or complex cases.
