NCT ID NCT06833515

First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tested different ways of shaping the root canal during treatment to see which causes the least pain afterward. 168 adults with asymptomatic apical periodontitis (a silent infection at the tooth root) were treated using either a single file or a combination of files. Patients rated their pain on a scale from 1 to 10 over three days. The goal is to find the gentlest shaping method to improve comfort after root canal therapy.
