Dental trial tests which rinse cuts root canal pain best

NCT ID NCT07173725

Summary

This study compared two antiseptic rinses used at the end of a single-visit root canal procedure to see which one better reduces pain in the first two days after treatment. 142 adults with a specific type of tooth infection received either an octenidine or a chlorhexidine rinse during their procedure. Participants tracked their pain levels for 48 hours to help determine which rinse was more effective at managing post-treatment discomfort.
