Could allergy and COPD drugs tame rheumatoid arthritis?

NCT ID NCT07566351

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding either roflumilast (a COPD drug) or desloratadine (an allergy drug) to standard rheumatoid arthritis treatment can better control the disease. About 90 adults with active RA will take one of these drugs or a placebo for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if these add-ons reduce joint inflammation and improve symptoms without causing serious side effects.
