Robot vs. surgeon: which lung cancer surgery is better?

NCT ID NCT06348030

First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study compares two ways of doing robotic lung surgery for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer. In one method, the surgeon uses robotic tools entirely from a console. In the other, a bedside surgeon helps with handheld staplers. The goal is to see which approach costs less and leads to better recovery, such as shorter hospital stays. About 120 adults will take part.
