Robots vs surgeons: which gives better hearing?

NCT ID NCT07081542

Summary

This study is comparing two different ways to perform cochlear implant surgery: using a robot-assisted method versus the traditional manual method. Researchers want to see which approach leads to better hearing outcomes one year after surgery. The study will involve 32 adult participants who will be randomly assigned to receive either robotic or manual surgery, with both methods performed by qualified surgeons in a standard operating room.
