Robotic hand helps surgeons perform Less-Scarring breast cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07292246

Summary

This study is testing whether a handheld robotic device called HandX can help surgeons safely perform a type of mastectomy that uses a small side incision. The goal is to remove breast tissue while preserving the nipple and skin, aiming for less scarring and better cosmetic results. About 15 participants who already need a mastectomy will have their surgery assisted by the device, and researchers will track surgery details, complications, and patient recovery for up to a year.
