Robots in the operating room: how are they changing lung cancer surgery?

NCT ID NCT04644952

Summary

This study looks back at the medical records of 600 patients who had lung cancer surgery between 2004 and 2019. The goal is to understand if and how the introduction of robotic surgery has changed the types of lung-removing operations surgeons perform. Researchers are comparing robotic surgery to older methods to see if it leads to more precise, 'atypical' removals of small lung sections.
