Robots in the operating room: new hope for cancer patients
NCT ID NCT02517125
Summary
This study tested whether a new, advanced robotic surgery system could be used to remove head and neck tumors through the mouth. The goal was to see if this less invasive approach was possible and could help reduce the long-term side effects and impact on quality of life that often come with traditional open surgery or radiation. It involved 100 adult patients with surgically removable tumors.
