Robot steadies Surgeon's hand in delicate eye procedure
NCT ID NCT06347107
Summary
This study tested a robotic tool designed to help eye surgeons perform a delicate procedure. The robot held a tiny needle steady to inject a clot-dissolving drug under the retina in patients with bleeding caused by age-related macular degeneration. The goal was to see if the robot could reliably place and hold the needle in the correct position for up to three minutes during this standard surgery.
