Robots vs. stroke: new study tests best way to regain arm control

NCT ID NCT04446273

Summary

This study is testing which order of robotic therapy works better to improve arm and hand function in people who have had a stroke. About 72 participants will complete an intensive 6-week program, with one group starting therapy at the shoulder and the other starting at the hand. Researchers will measure changes in movement, strength, and ability to do daily tasks to see which approach is more effective.
