Robot surgeons battle scopes in stomach cancer showdown

NCT ID NCT07331454

Summary

This study aims to find out if robot-assisted surgery helps people with advanced stomach cancer live longer without their cancer returning, compared to traditional laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. About 335 adults with a specific stage of stomach cancer will be randomly assigned to have their surgery done with either robotic or laparoscopic techniques. Researchers will follow participants for 5 years to track cancer recurrence, survival, and quality of life.
