Spinal stimulation & robots team up to reboot walking after stroke

NCT ID NCT07226518

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether combining two technologies—a robot that helps with walking practice and a gentle, non-invasive electrical stimulation on the spine—can improve walking ability in people who have had a stroke and can no longer walk on their own. The goal is to see if this combined approach is safe and practical, and to gather early data on whether it helps. The study will involve 20 chronic stroke survivors who are stable but have severe walking limitations.
