Robot surgeons tested for heart procedures
NCT ID NCT07233317
Summary
This study is testing a robotic system designed to help doctors perform heart stent procedures (PCI) for coronary artery disease. Researchers will compare the robot to human operators to see if it is safe, effective, and can reduce procedure time and radiation exposure for both doctors and patients. About 170 participants will be randomly assigned to have their procedure done with the robot or by a doctor, and then followed for one month.
