Robot suit and spinal zaps aim to get stroke patients back on their feet

Summary

This study tests whether combining robot-assisted walking training with mild electrical stimulation of the spinal cord can help people who have had a stroke and cannot walk. Twenty chronic stroke survivors will receive 24 sessions of this combined therapy. The goal is to see if the approach is feasible and improves walking ability.
