Smart robot helps stroke patients regain their stride
NCT ID NCT07034521
First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests a new robot that helps people who had a stroke 6 months to 3 years ago improve their walking. The robot has a special mode that encourages patients to actively move their legs, rather than just being moved by the machine. 60 participants will receive 15 training sessions over 5 weeks, and researchers will measure walking speed, balance, and brain activity to see if the active mode works better than the standard passive mode.
