Summary

This study tests two daily doses (50 mg and 100 mg) of the medicine ritlecitinib in about 550 people aged 12 and older with severe alopecia areata, a condition causing significant hair loss on the scalp and body. The 50 mg dose is already approved, and researchers want to see if the 100 mg dose is safe and works better. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two doses and monitored for about 13 months with exams, blood tests, and hair assessments.
