Summary

This study is testing a new version of a gut antibiotic called rifaximin in 20 people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's or vascular dementia. The goal is to see if changing the bacteria in the gut can improve brain function and reduce inflammation. Participants will take the drug or a placebo in two phases, and researchers will measure changes in blood and stool markers.
