New test aims to spot Tick-Borne disease faster
NCT ID NCT07307651
Summary
This study is testing a new laboratory method (called RT-PCR) to see if it can diagnose Rickettsia infections, like those from tick bites, more quickly and accurately than current tests. It will involve about 800 people who doctors already suspect have the infection, using samples collected during their normal care. The goal is to help doctors identify the infection sooner so treatment can start earlier.
